Collaborative Web Tools and Apps
Participate in intercultural exchanges and global projects.
- GSuites- Google has many different free web tools and mobile apps for students to easily collaborate.
- OneNote- Microsoft has many different free web tools and mobile apps for students to easily collaborate.
- LinoIt (Web/iOS/Android)– This is a collaborative digital cork board. Students can choose between different colored sticky notes and add video, pdfs, and links. Only the teacher has to register for a free account.
- Just a Line (iOS/Android)- Collaborative Augmented Reality drawing in real-time.
- Twiddla is a collaborative web whiteboard that has shapes, drawing tools, allows links, and much more. People can use audio to communicate while collaborating. No registration is required.
- Stoodle works on the web and with iPads. You can use voice to communicate. Features include drawing, coloring, adding text, and uploading files. No registration required.
- Awwapp is a web based collaborative board that has basic drawing features and image sharing features. No registration is required except for advanced features. You can invite team members.
- Taskade (Web/iOS/Android) is an easy way for teams to brainstorm and get organized with various options and templates.
- TuzzIt is a collaborative web sticky board. Add various colored sticky notes, stickers, and add video, links, text, and maps.
- Real Time Board's features include adding shapes and text and drawing. A free account allows up to 3 members on 3 boards.
- Flockdraw is a simple whiteboard tool that requires no registration. Draw, add text, add shapes, and brainstorm. There is also a free iOS app.
- IdeaFlip– Simple whiteboard for students to add collaborative notes with information and add different colored sticky notes. \
- Titanpad- Collaborative whiteboard tool similar to Google Docs.
- Padlet– Only 3 free. Students can add sticky notes with links, video, pdfs, or audio. Choose backgrounds or upload your own, password protect, and get an automatic QR code for your wall.
- Mindmeister (Web/iOS/Android) allows students to mind map and brainstorm together.
- Voicethread is a multimedia discussion web tool and iOS app for educators. You can add slides or images to spark a discussion. Around the border of the slide students contribute ideas through audio or video. Students can use avatars to protect their identities.
- Voxer is an app on iOS and Android where users communicate by leaving audio messages. Voxer also allows text and video chat, sharing images, and sharing links.
- Slack is available on nearly any laptop or mobile device and a popular tool many businesses already use to communicate via text, calls, audio messages, and more. You can edit documents and conduct searches on previous conversations which are indexed and archived.

- Find classes to connect with on Epals, Skolinks, PenPalSchools, and eTwinning.net.
- Doodle (Web/iOS/Android)- Create polls with suggested meeting times and dates and invite participants to select their preferences. Participants don’t need the app or an account to select their preferences. Syncs with your calendar.
- Time and Date (Web/iOS/Android)- Several tools to schedule meetings, such as a World Clock with the current time in each country, online calendars for countries worldwide, a meeting planner, a countdown clock, and more.
- World Time Buddy (Web/iOS/Android)- Visual world clock, easy time zone converter and meeting scheduler.
